The Chap has launched a Kickstarter campaign to raise funds to make clothing.

After 18 years of giving sartorial advice, we decided to bring the mountain to Mohammed and create the sort of apparel that our readers wish to own.

The modest amount of funding requested will serve to produce several lines of clothing and accessories. Commencing with accessories such as pocket squares, cravats, neckties and cufflinks, we aim to broaden the scope by producing, in the first instance, the perfect tweed jacket and a second style of Goodyear-welted shoes.

Not to neglect the ladies, we shall also use the funding to produce a women’s silk printed headscarf and also begin work on a 1940s-style tea dress, using one of the fabulous prints we have already turned into pocket squares: thechap.co.uk/shop/clothing

Visit www.kickstarter.com for full details of the campaign and to learn how, by contributing, you stand to gain a delightful sartorial reward. These pledge rewards range from a mere £10.00 for a lapel badge right up to a Chap Gift set containing all the other pledge rewards. You can also watch a video explaining the purpose of the project in more detail.
