Chap Joins SJC for Pop Up Shop

On Sunday 15th March 2020, The Chap is collaborating with famed vintage-style menswear brand Simon James Cathcart in a real bricks-and-mortar establishment in London.
Within the splendid Georgian fittings of the Clerk’s House on Shoreditch High Street, SJC will be showcasing their new lines of menswear as well as some of their new womenswear collection. Meanwhile, The Chap will be purveying its gentlemen’s grooming products, pocket squares, books and magazines. On the evening of Sunday 15th March, Chaps and Chapettes are invited to share some complimentary gin fizz and join in a Cockney Singalong with Tom Carradine. Simon James Cathcart will be in the shop all week from Thursday 12th March until Wednesday 18th, providing a series of special events, including:

Thursday 12th of March
18:00-21:00 Welcome Evening – pop in to have a drink, a chat and see what SJC has in store.

Friday 13th of March
18:00-21:00 Ladies’ Evening – as SJC is developing their first womenswear collection, they are inviting ladies to join them for an evening of drinks, snacks and fashion. Chaps from SJC will talk about their definition of modern elegance, vintage inspirations and design ideas. The participants will also have an exclusive chance to have a sneak peek of SJC’s upcoming womenswear collection.

Saturday 14th of March
17:00-18:00 A talk on classic menswear by Sean Longden, author, style enthusiast, collector of vintage clothing and historian specialising in British social history during World War II.

18:00-21:00 SJC Party! An evening of fun and style featuring a live music performance. Guests will have a chance to see a showcase of SJC’s new products and get that red carpet feeling while taking pictures on the SJC photowall.

Sunday 15th of March
11:00-21:00 The Chap Magazine in the SJC Shop. The Chap will be offering a selection of grooming products, fashion accessories and the latest issues of our magazine. From 5-7pm, chaps and chapettes are welcome to enjoy a complimentary glass of Ginking and join in top moustachioed pianist Tom Carradine’s splendid Cockney Singalong.
