Description
These extremely rare chain cufflinks were made in the late Victorian period, yet have survived in immaculate condition. The material is citrine, a variety of quartz known as ‘merchant’s stone’ or ‘success stone’, believed by some to attract wealth, abundance and happiness. The citrine is faceted, meaning it has been delicately carved by a jeweller into a shape that resembles a diamond, which glitters under light both solar and artificial in a way that will keep a gentleman just on the right side of what is known as ‘bling’ in certain circles. Both the insertion into the stones and the chain fastening are Sterling Silver.
