Description
Original Second World War braces are hard enough to find, but First World War ones even rarer, and these date from the mid to late 1910s. Despite them having seen a lot of life, and hopefully made it out of the trenches if they were worn during active service, they are in pretty good shape, with expected wear to the leather tips and some mild rust on the rear of the size fastening. This is partly due to the ‘Double Sewn’ claim on the leather joint to the rear, which gives these braces that coveted ‘X’ formation above the trousers, as opposed to the ‘Y’ formation provided by modern button braces.
