The Chap has moved from quarterly print publication to members’ club, book publisher and events organiser.

We are at the dawn of a new era, chaps, chapettes and chumrades. After much deliberation, consultation and cups of Oolong tea, we have come to the decision to cease producing a print publication. CHAP Spring 25 was therefore the last-ever edition of The Chap. However, things are far from over, for we have always been much more than a mere publication.
Despite The Chap being a bastion of tradition and old-fashioned values, as an organisation we are powerless to withstand the forces of commerce and the winds of change within the industry of print publications. It is time to hoist a new mainsail and splice a new mainbrace.
The Chap is moving from printed magazine to member’s club. We feel our audience will be better served with the same information delivered in a new way. The Chap Members’ Club will publish books, provide online content, run events and organise quarterly social meet-ups. We hope you will agree that, even after 25 years, there is still no other voice quite like The Chap; nowhere else that chaps and chapettes can go for sartorial guidance, a manifesto for living graciously and a programme of social occasions that brings together the best-dressed folk on the planet.

We realise what sad tidings these might be to many of you (as they are to us), especially those who have been with us since the very beginning. But fear not, dear reader, this is merely the beginning of a New Era rather than the end of Civilisation. Our message, our manifesto and our life force will remain as strong as ever, simply delivered via different means.
