All Steamed Up

We’ve learned all about their peculiar belief system on pages 22-25, Issue 43, but now it is time to find out what the steampunk dress code consists of. We invited Andy Heintz, Andrew O’Neill and the Intrepid Young Woman to inspect the contents of a treasure trove of singular scientific contraptions

The Intrepid Young Woman wears: Vintage leather flying cap and aviator goggles, Victorian crop top, fur stole, canvas corset, Sam Browne Belt, a string of shells, canvas/leather pouches, khaki breeches, leather boots and gaiters

Andy wears: Custom-made brass and leather monocular goggle, beige Boer war pith helmet, vintage flying goggles, wing collared shirt, Wah Maker black waistcoat (from the USA) with vintage pocket watch and chain, Tootal silk cravat, black vintage John Collier drape jacket, beige riding breeches, Second World War riding boots.

Andrew wears: WWII desert goggles, brown bowler hat by the New York Hat Co., upright collared shirt and waistcoat made by Tamsyn Payne (www.hausofpayne.co.uk), skinny pinstripe jeans by Mercy and 14-hole steel-toed boots from Vegetarian Shoes.
