Issue 30 of The Chap was published in Summer 2006, and featured the one and only feature ever published in this magazine by Gawain Douglas, grandson of Lord Alfred ‘Bosie’ Douglas, Oscar Wilde’s lover. Earl Okin also penned his first piece for us, a paean to the mighty Rover P4. Kipper and Grape advised on watching the soccer World Cup from one’s chaise longue, while two reprobates in Soho engaged in a violent game of bar billiards. Eccentric cricketers graced the sports pages, pipes were lauded by Professor Pinkerton and the comic strip adventures of Mordecai Villiers were continued.
