CHAP Summer 2024 was honoured to encounter suave crooner Joe Jackson, who revealed a penchant for dry martinis, natty suits and a variety of hats in an interview. Patrick Leigh Fermor’s house in the Peloponnese was visited, along with Keith Moon’s former hotel in Chipping Norton, which still seemed to contain the ghosts of his many brandies at the bar. The Grand Flaneur Walk’s fourth outing was chronicled, as well as an encounter with Malta’s answer to Zack Pinsent, Citoyenport. The art of the Screen Cad from Terry-Thomas to Peter Wyngarde was examined, along with the art of consuming Greek brandy. We also paid a visit to Spetses, the Greek island where films like The Magus and Glass Onion were made.
