Description
Subtitled ‘The Pattern of Friendship’, this warm, engaging tome draws a larger circle around Sussex-based artist Eric Ravilious, bringing in all the writers, artists, ceramicists and printmakers who either influenced him or surrounded him. Peggy Angus, who gave him a home at her house in Glynde, East Sussex, was an accomplished artist herself, along with Paul Nash, who taught Ravilious at the Royal College of Art; Tirzah Garwood, his lover and artistic collaborator, Edward Bawdenm Helen Binyon and Enid Marx also played a huge role in the shaping of Ravilious’ art. This is the second printing of the first edition in very good condition.
