The Tournament of Tomfoolery is back, after seven years in the wilderness. This is your chance to compete in some of sport’s most challenging athletic events: cucumber sandwich discus, hop, skip and G&T, umbrella jousting and not playing tennis. The 2026 Chap Olympiad takes place from 1-7pm on Saturday 18th July in Grange Gardens, Lewes, which can be reached in one hour by rail from London. There will be full bar facilities as well as food stalls, so get your valet to dig that faded old singlet out of the wardrobe and head to the chaise longue to start training. Dress code: elegant vintage clothing totally inappropriate for sporting activities.
