Other chaps interviewed are Antiques Roadshow presenter John Bly, who confessed never to have broadcast sober, as well as towering British novelist William Boyd, musician Darren Hayman and rodeo tailor Manuel Cuevas.
Chaps profiled who are no longer with us, at least in body, are rakish actor Peter O’Toole, monocled Austrian actor/director Erich Von Stroheim, Ginger Man author JP Donleavy, Reilly Ace of Spies and dandizette Lucille Ball. We take to the skies to observe Spring migrants in a new birding column, as well as advising on which vintage binoculars to use. Chris Sullivan chronicles the dastardly doings of effete Parisian 18th century thugs Les Incroyables, while David Evans road tests some suitable snow-clobber in Antarctica. Other sartorial features include DNA Groove, Natalino and Dueple Socks, as well as a nightwear fashion photo shoot at an hotel in Brighton; we also visit classy seaside eaterie The Ivy in the Lanes.
