Frederick Streeter was a popular gardening broadcaster for the BBC during the postwar years. Based in Petworth Park Gardens, Sussex, Streeter gave horticultural advice every Sunday on television, becoming as well liked as his famous predecessor C.H. Middleton. This book, penned by one of Streeter’s closest chums, tells the story of its subject’s life, from shepherd’s son in Sussex to national television star who went on to win the Victoria Medal of Honour. This is the first edition, published in 1950 by Crosby Lockwood, and is in very good condition.
