Description
The series of four books by Stephen Potter upon which the film School for Scoundrels was based started with this one. Gamesmanship, published in 1947, explained the full exposition of the arcane art of winning games without actually cheating. Sports covered include Lawn Tennis, Cricket, Golf, Croquet, Bridge, Snooker and Chess, with diagrams and technical illustrations where required. The entire tennis match in School For Scoundrels is laid out, stroke by stroke, advising on the precise techniques used by Terry-Thomas as Raymond Delaunay to defeat his opponent. This is the first edition in very good condition.
