Description
A surprising turn in Stephen Potter’s career came when, after penning humour classics Lifemanship and Oneupmanship, he turned his quill (probably for the cash) to the history of Heinz, makers of food in tins including baked beans. Yet Potter cannot help himself from bringing his sharp erudition and education to such a prosaic task, and peppers the tale with quotes from Charles Lamb and Shakespeare. This is the first edition in very good condition.
