While the blue and silver striped art deco pattern on the surface of these cufflinks is pleasing enough, it is the weighty submarine-shaped fastenings that really takes the eye, and they could easily be worn either way around in the cuffs. The purpose of the submarine is to house an extensive smaller chain than the one holding the cufflinks itself, which tucks away inside the cavity on a spring mechanism. They measure 15mm across the flat part and 20mm across the submarine part.
