The focus is Crown Prince Rudolf, errant son of Emperor Franz Joseph I, whose darkly gothic tastes and sense of the morbid led to a sensationally early death in what may have been a suicide pact with his mistress. This is the Folio Society edition of 2006 in very good condition, with the original slipcase.
