Description
CHAP Autumn 2019 has the sad distinction of containing an interview with the late, much missed Helen McCrory, who was then starring as Aunt Polly in Series 5 of Peaky Blinders. Helen spoke with great warmth of her role, as well as on lighter topics such as screen smoking, vintage costume and what kind of pistol a lady should carry. We also met in this issue Alison McCosh, costume designer on Peaky Blinders, who revealed some of the inside secrets of dressing Cillian Murphy, Paul Anderson and Sam Claflin. This issue also chronicled in photographs the very first Grand Flaneur Walk, along with a history of the Flaneur. Downton Abbey‘s costume designer also deigned to discuss her trade with us, as did screen legend Maureen O’Hara. All this plus workwear jackets, Yarmouth Oilskins and HP Lovecraft.
