Description
Lion Brand was the market leader during the 1930s in ‘snap’ cufflinks, which operate like a press stud, with each of the two identical cufflinks snapping into each other when the shirt is put on. This pair uses celluloid to create a sparkling hexagon in green one one side and blue on the other. The potential cannot be overstated for switching between each colour as a way of signalling, for example, criminal or adulterous activity, or simply for announcing to the world whether one is in a ‘go’ mood or a ‘blue’ mood.
