Description
Hugo Vickers was to be Cecil Beaton’s amanuensis, given the daunting task of editing the great photographer and socialite’s diaries just before he died. Instead of personal access to Beaton, Vickers was entrusted with all his papers, diaries as well as being given introductions to all his friends. This book offers fragments from Vickers’ own diaries, as he travelled the world meeting the leftovers of 20s century high society. This is the paperback edition published in 2022 by Hodder & Stoughton.
