Historian Arthur Bryant’s third volume in his trilogy of books about “The England that beat the French Revolution and Napoleon”. This volume covers the Regency period – hence the title – of Wellington, Castlereagh, Scott and Byron and the Lake Poets, George Stephenson, Humphry Davy, William Cobbett and Robert Owen. The book contains military, social, literary and sporting history, all delivered in Dr. Bryant’s florid, engaging prose. This is the 1954 edition published by the Reprint Society and is in very good condition.
