Description
Published in 1979, the Year of the Child, The White Elephant Celebrity Cookbook was a collection of recipes by celebrities, all of whom contributed for the Victor Brusa Memorial Fund for Children. Brusa had founded the legendary White Elephant restaurant in London in 1960, a grand place where live music was played by Ray Ellington, sometimes with Rosemary Squires. The great and the good came to dine there, including Shirley Bassey, Joan Collins, Britt Ekland and several Arab Princes. All of them, and many others, contributed their favourite recipes to this book, so you can learn how to make Ernie Wise’s liver pate, Zsa-Zsa Gabor’s Szekely Gulas, Laurence Harvey’s chicken pie and Sean Connery’s spiced beef with parsley dumpings. This large-format hardback is in very good condition, with a few minor tears to the dustjacket.
