Description
As well as their most popular range of ‘wash-as-silk’ rayon ties in geometric repeat patterns, polka-dot and paisley patterns, Tootal also produced more traditional check ties, inventing their own tartans to suggest Madras ties. This Green Quality one blends shades of brown, grey and russet tones to produce a tie that immediately sums up the 1940s (even though it was probably produced in the postwar years). Worn with a Fair Isle sweater or a plain v-neck sleeveless pullover, this tie is one for wearing on a winter hike or a visit to the pub for Sunday lunch. The measurements are 118cm length x 8cm at its widest point.
