Description
The follow-up to David Niven’s first volume of reminiscences, The Moon’s a Balloon, Bring on the Empty Horses is a full and frank account of the actor’s career in Hollywood from 1935-1960, providing a potted history of Tinseltown during those decades. Yes, there are rambling anecdotes similar to the ones Niven recounted on the sofa on Parkinson, but they are extremely well told and full of the colour and authenticity of one who was really there but always had the niggling feeling that he shouldn’t be – even when he won an Oscar for Separate Tables in 1958. This hardback copy is in good condition.
