Description
Edwardian mother-of-pearl rolled gold chain cufflinks made to resemble buttons. The detail is phenomenal, from the gold-braided thread to the delicate yet sturdy fastening, known as a chain-post link. It is ironic that the Edwardians were mimicking shirt buttons on their sleeves before they were invented, all cuffs in the early twentieth century being fastened by cufflinks.
