Description
From the 1920s, these exquisite English-made gold-plated cufflinks with a Bakelite inset have a hidden retractable chain within them, allowing the cufflink to be fastened securely in the shirt cuff by stretching the chain on its spring. The result resembles four Onyx squares glittering in one’s cuffs, with the knowledge that one may, should one wish, roll up one’s sleeves without removing the cufflinks – for example, to engage in fisticuffs with a footpad, or haul a fresh trout from a stream.
