Tootal Space Tie

£25.00

Before 1953, Tootal’s grading system was not colour-coded. Their range ran from Popular to Standard to Sports to Special, but after 1953 they switched to colour grading: red, blue, green, black and grey. Although at the lower end of the spectrum, this Blue Quality tie has a very unusual pattern for a Tootal, evoking the space age, and also reminiscent of one of Noel Coward’s dressing gowns. That brown was chosen as the base colour makes it even more eccentric. The length is 134cm and the blade width 8cm.
