Description
First published in 1975, this updated edition in 1980, A History of Fashion encompasses everything that humans have worn since the Babylonians. Using over 300 colour plates, the book charts the clothing of the humble peasant as well as that of kings and queens through the ages, in all parts of the world. Country Life called it “one of the best and most comprehensive books on the subject” and there are few, if any, more recent candidates worthy of that accolade. This large-format hardback has slight damage to the flyleaf but is otherwise in excellent condition.
