John Ruskin

£25.00

Published in 1900 as part of William Blackwood & Sons’ ‘Modern English Writers’ series, this biography by Alice Meynell was published in the year of Ruskin’s death and therefore researched during his lifetime. Meynell herself was a poet, once tipped for Poet Laureate though never appointed, and her first poetry collection, Preludes, had been warmly praised by Ruskin upon its publication in 1875. This is the first edition in very good condition.
