Description
After TE Lawrence’s death in 1935, his brother A.W. Lawrence published a request for copies of any letters to or from his brother , the idea being to then publish a collection of the letters as an account of Lawrence’s life in his own words. This is volume I of those letters, edited by David Garnett in 1938. After Lawrence’s death, Winston Churchill wrote: “I had hoped to see him quit his retirement and take a commanding part in facing the dangers which now threaten the country.” This edition was published in 1941 and is in very good condition.
