Description
The strangest thing about this little book is that it was not written by The Chap. To all intents and purposes, The Bounder’s Companion is exactly the sort of tome this publication could easily have turned out in the early days, influenced as it is by Stephen Potter’s Oneupmanship series. And we cannot even make a feeble claim of plagiarism – for The Bounder’s Companion was published in 2001 by Ebury Press – the same year as we published The Chap Manifesto. Call it collective consciousness, but this book takes a very similar approach to the idea of the bounder, offering tips on how to out-cad one’s fellow man, how to avoid work and how to talk your way to the top. This hardback copy is in very good condition.
