Very much of its time but still packing a punch today, High Fidelity nerdifies the whole dating and relationship experience, turning every relationship in the protagonist’s life into a C90 cassette playlist. Linked with Martin Amis’ The Rachel Papers, this was part of a crop of British nineties fiction about men that used wit and distraction from their emotional engagement. This hardback first edition is an ex-library copy in good condition.
