Description
The fourth volume of Osbert Sitwell’s autobiography, Laughter in the Next Room was published in 1949, the author (brother to Edith and Sacheverell Sitwell) by then renowned for his memoirs. Even dour Socialist George Orwell was impressed by the musings of a privileged aesthete: “Although the range they cover is narrow, they must be among the best autobiographies of our time”. This edition was published by the Reprint Society in 1950 and is in very good condition.
