Description
Sixty essays representing the entire range of William Hazlitt’s interests, chosen by Sir Geoffrey Keynes. Hazlitt was a student of human nature and half the essays are devoted to general topics such as ‘the spirit of obligations’ and ‘the pleasure of hating’, while others are more specifically about writers and writing, from Cobbett to Coleridge. This first edition was published in 1930 and is in very good condition.
