Description
The world was a more innocent place in 1925, when An Unexpected Schoolgirl by Ethel Talbot was published. Nowadays folk would read all sorts of things into chapter headings like ‘Jinny Makes a Friend’, ‘A Startling Proposal’ and ‘A Surprise for Uncle Bim’, but in those less corrupted says, there really were books like this written about nothing more shocking than a schoolgirl and her mischievous cat Tibbles. This is the first edition, published by Cassell & Co in 1925, and is in very good condition.
